About me

My name is Jean Bosco Bakunzi. I have a dream of becoming a known artist.

I was born and raised in Kigali Rwanda, while growing up, I enjoyed drawing, I had no idea I would grow up to become a professional painter. I like to think that I am a self-taught artist; however, I have learned and been inspired by many well-known artists.

My art is semi-abstract with an impressionism style; I often paint with Acrylic on canvas or watercolors on paper.

I get inspiration from nature, my surrounding, and my everyday life experience.

I have participated in many different international art shows and am looking forward to continuing my journey and growing more.

I see painting as a special medium, that allows me to express my ideas, creativity, and emotions. When I am producing art, I feel free with my style, and I am empowered to enjoy the movement of my tools. In choosing my subjects I find inspiration in nature, My surroundings, and everyday life. I am a self-taught artist, who was inspired by many professional artists. I am currently work at my home studio in Vancouver BC area
